tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8148513604397674273.post1785697291016389071..comments2023-06-05T09:59:16.117+01:00Comments on Going My Own Way: Rose Petal Wine and Rain.Moontidehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06056571533496930932noreply@blogger.comBlogger2125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8148513604397674273.post-24658736938275182882012-12-07T06:56:08.441+00:002012-12-07T06:56:08.441+00:00Hi and welcome to the blog,here is the recipe that...Hi and welcome to the blog,here is the recipe that I use, the wonderful thing is that every batch I make is a different colour and taste, as the proportion of petals from each bush varies.<br />I also store petals in the freezer as I collect them until I have enough to make a batch, without any loss of quality.<br /><br />3 Litre jugs full of rose petals, gently pushed down.<br />3 lbs / 1,350 grams sugar<br />2 lemons<br />Wine yeast and nutrient<br />1 gallon water<br /><br /> <br />Pour boiling water over the rose petals and cover and leave for 48 hours. <br />Strain through a fine sieve and add the sugar and dissolve well and then add the lemon juice, yeast and yeast nutrient.
