An Important Message

I'm afraid that I have less and less time for this blog at the moment, I'm sorry about that but other things have sort of taken over. And I think that I was just repeating the same old stories and recipes over and over again. So I will be taking a break to see if I can come up with new content for you.

Bramley Apple Sourdough

I found an old baking recipe book in a charity shop. Called Baking with Passion, the edition I have has a different cover but the same content.


There's a recipe for a Rye sourdough with apple pieces inside and it sounded interesting.

I've been somewhat remiss

just lately, it's been nearly a month since I last posted on here.

There has just been so much going on; I keep meaning to post some words and pictures but never actually get around to it.

So what have I been up to that was so important? When you come to think about it, the answer is not a great deal. Even so, the days and weeks seem to pass by so quickly.

It's true I have had a novel to edit, my sixth to be published and I have also finished numbers seven and eight, ready for editing later in the year when the weather is bad and you have to stay in. 
I've been walking a lot and have the front room to decorate next week, after a visit to the grandchildren.
The route I take over the cliffs is now inhabited by a small herd of cows,







which makes it feel very rural.

I also attended a festival in Bath, selling my novels and holding a workshop on "World Building," which was well received.






In food, we had a proper full English last Saturday, with the sausages, bacon, black pudding and mushrooms cooked in the oven,




The potatoes and eggs were, however, cooked in a frying pan!




Not only that, in my quest to discover the best local ales, they seem to be making them faster than I can sample them, here are a couple more for the queue.

I will endeavour not to leave it so long next time.

News

I've not been posting here for a while, I've had problems with my computer, long story but I think its sorted now.Most of it involved my mobile phone, which was linked to my home network and suffered a virus attack.

In other news, I've been getting obsessed with taking pictures of the sunrise, I've started taking an early morning walk when it's not raining and it times with sunrise. They are all so different and spectacular.
