No wonder the old deck was bouncy, when the lads had stripped the boards off, they found that only one joist had been laid across about 8 feet of decking. And that wasn't fully supported either!
Adam put three in the same space, this one will be a lot less springy.
The plywood in the corner will be the base of a raised bed, the piece in the middle is to walk on while they are working, so that no-one breaks an ankle!
