Blackberry and Apple

Some of you may remember that last September, I preserved some apples in a solution of water and Campden Tablets. (1 in 300 ml) I can remember my grandmother Winnie bottling apples and pears like that and keeping them for ages. (No fridges or freezers when she was younger)

Well we needed some room in the freezer and as I had 6 ice-cream tubs full of Blackberries we decided to have Blackberry and Apple over the next couple of days, with natural yogurt.

The apples were in the back of the cupboard, and as you can see have kept their shape and colour beautifully.

It's important that you wash them thoroughly and boil them but apart from that the taste is the same.
